Sarah Erickson Lume is a member of the Woodwind faculty at Gustavus Adolphus College and she maintains an active profile in the Twin Cities as a freelance oboist and teacher. She holds degrees from Sarah Lawrence College and Carnegie Mellon University, where she was a student of Cynthia Koledo DeAlmeida. She has participated in summer music festivals in the United States (Aspen) and Canada (Oxford center of the Arts). Sarah is also an avid chamber music enthusiast, and as such is a founding member of TRIO LULA in the Twin Cities, a participation that led to concerts sponsored by the Schubert Club and Thursday Musical. She has also done a great deal of orchestral playing, most recently performing with the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra. Sarah currently lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and daughter.
