Richard Weber earned both his Bachelor's and Doctor's degrees from the University of Minnesota and his Master's degree from Mankato State University. He has been on the Gustavus faculty since 1971 and has performed with the Gustavus Faculty Woodwind Trio and done several solo recitals in addition to his work with Tre Kroner Kvintetten, the faculty woodwind quintet. Earlier in his career, Dr. Weber played with the U.S. Marine Corps Band in Washington D.C. and substituted with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. He is currently principal clarinet with the Mankato Symphony, performs with the Minnesota Valley Wind Symphony and has been a contributor to past Minnesota Valley Sommarfest concerts. A veteran of fourteen years of full-time public school teaching, Dr. Weber now teaches part-time at Mankato State University, conducts the New Ulm Suzuki String Orchestra, and is active as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the area.
