Ryan Galindo joins the Gustie football staff as the offensive coordinator after serving in the same capacity at Washburn High School for the past three years. Galindo, a Minneapolis native, graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2003 with a major in K-12 physical education teaching. While at St. Thomas, he was a four-year letterwinner as a wide receiver on the football team. During his tenure at Washburn, where he coached wide receivers for two years and was the offensive coordinator for three years, Galindo helped build a high-powered offense on teams that posted undefeated records in Minneapolis City Conference play each year he was on the staff. He taught special education in the Minneapolis Public Schools for five years. In 2007, he obtained a special education teaching licensure and took advanced course work in emotional and behavioral disorders at the University of St. Thomas. Ryan, who is single, lives in Edina.
