Matt Wilson is active as a freelance horn player in the Twin Cities.  He regularly plays with both the Minnesota Orchestra and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.  He has also been a sub for The Phantom of the Opera Broadway touring company.  Matt received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern College in Roseville, MN and his Masters of Music degree from the University of Minnesota.  While studying, he also played with the Rochester Orchestra for 3 years, 2 as Principal Horn.

Matt has taught horn privately since 1992.  He has been Horn Instructor at Rymer-Hadley School of Music, St. Joseph’s School of Music, and the Northwestern Academy of Music.  He has also been a clinician for the Robbinsdale, Anoka, and Woodbury school districts. He is currently Horn Professor at Gustavus Adolphus College, Northwestern College, and Bethel University.

Matt, his wife Jenny, and daughters Corene and Ava live in Robbinsdale.
