Assistant Men's and Women's Swimming Coach and Assistant Women's Tennis Coach in Athletics

Luke is in his 11th season with the Gustavus Swimming & Diving team and 3rd season with Women's Tennis. As an assistant coach, his primary responsibilities are running strength and dryland and the recruiting coordinator for all three programs. He has also served as an instructor in the Health & Exercise Science Department, and helped with athletic events management on campus. Luke also coaches with the Mankato Mantas Swim Club with Coach Alex Lindstrom. 

Leading up to this year's 2023-24 Swimming & Diving and Tennis seasons, Luke has held various other professional roles. This includes roles as a head and assistant high school coach for boy's and girl's programs in Minnesota (Shakopee Boy's, East Ridge Girl's and Boy's, St. Peter Girl's, Chisago Boy's), assistant high school track and field coach (Roseville and Eden Prairie throws), an aquatics director for a school district (Chisago Lakes), and a Youth Director at a church early on in his career. 

He also enjoys helping out with the track and field program here at Gustavus and officiating at home track meets. 

Luke has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Gustavus ('07) and a Master of Arts in Sports Management from Concordia University St. Paul ('16).
