I joined the wonderful team in the Office of the Provost in January 2009 and I feel very fortunate to work with a terrific group of people!
Originally, I am from Mankato, although my husband and I recently moved to Minneapolis after having lived in Texas for four years. Every chance we get, we run to my family's cabin on Big Deep Lake (near Hackensack, MN - it's not Big, but it is Deep!) and let our dogs, Molly and Wendy (rescued from a city shelter in Midland, TX), run crazy and get really stinky like dogs should at the lake. We love to spend a lot of time outdoors (even in the winter!), hiking, walking a lot and sometimes skiing. I am a musician, classically trained clarinetist. I have two clarinet performance degrees and my husband is a trumpeter, also classical.
On the weekends, we love to see a few movies, walk a LOT (we love to walk in our neighborhood - lots of pretty little houses and also lots of parks that are very woodsey, so much so that it feels like you're not even in the city), go to a concert, and prepare a wonderful feast (at the lake, it would be a brisket on the BBQ) to enjoy.
