Lori Steffen

Nursing

Lori has been a registered nurse since 1985. She has worked in a broad variety of settings in five states. While her expertise is primarily in pediatrics, she has developed a passion for and experience in nursing leadership as well. Her master's thesis uses oral history to trace the creation of an international nursing leader in public health and examines her role in the rebuilding of the health care infrastructure in Romania following the fall of communism, from 1989-2005.

She is interested in nursing history and nursing leadership as well as patient safety.
