Institutional Advancement

Kathryn Erlandsen started at Gustavus in 2005 and works with reunion year alumni of Gustavus to prepare, plan, and implement their reunions. Recruiting reunion committees, helping create giving goals, and creating a communication calendar for the year leading up to the reunions are the focus points of her job. She is also the advisor for the Senior Class Legacy program which works with current seniors to start the awareness of alumni giving while still in school.

Kathy's experience in fundraising started while working in the Alumni Office at Concordia College as a student supervisor for the student phoning program during all four years of undergraduate study. Prior to coming to Gustavus, Kathy lived in Texas and worked in the hospitality industry and moved back to MN to work with the corporate office of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide as a Training Specialist.

Kathy and her husband raise alpacas as a side business while also raising two girls Northwest of St. Peter.
