I love quilting, gardening, most sports, and and of course reading.
I grew up loving sports and being outside. Nature, camping and outdoor activities consumed my life. But somewhere along the way I discovered that I loved the world of reading. On summer days I'd find a cool spot outside and hide from my brothers and sisters (all nine of them) and read. It usually got me in trouble for slacking on my duties, but I loved the adventures reading took me on.
In 1988 I became a middle school library assistant. It changed my career path and opened the doors to the world of libraries. I joined the staff at the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library in 1993, and have worked in the Acquisitions department ever since.
