Alexander Lindstrom ’99

Athletics

Alex Lindstrom is entering his second year as the assistant men's and women's swimming and diving coach at Gustavus. Lindstrom, a Scandia, Minn. native and 1999 graduate of Gustavus, comes to St. Peter from Monticello, Minn. where he served as the Head Coach of the Monticello Swim Club from 1999 to 2008. Under Lindstrom's direction, the Monticello Swim Club grew from 30 athletes to 130. While in Monticello, he also served as the assistant head coach for the Monticello High School Girls' Swimming and Diving Team from 2002 to 2007. Prior to coaching in Monticello, Lindstrom served as the Head Coach for the Princetion, Minn. High School Boys' Swimming and Diving team in 2000 and 2001.

In addition to coaching at Gustavus, Lindstrom also serves as the Head Coach of the Mantas Swim Club in Mankato, Minn. Alex lives in Nicollet, Minn. with his wife Deena, and their three-year old son Macord.
