2009 International Photo Contest Guidelines and Requirements
- International Photo Contest submission September 7 to October 5, 2009.
- No photos will be accepted after October 5, 2009.
- Digital photos cannot be digitally altered or enhanced in any way.
- The photo must have been taken within the last two years and taken in a country other than the US.
- We will accept only one photo per person.
- If another Gustie is in the photo, get their permission in writing before submitting and turn it into the International Office
- Photos will be displayed in Linner Lounge. Voting will take place Thursday, October 22 in Linner Lounge.

- Human Interest
- Cultural Landscape
- Overall Popular Vote
- Prizes to be awarded to the winners of the Student Choice Awards and Office of International Education Awards. Monetary prizes will be awarded and distributed before the end of the semester.

- By entering this contest, you are agreeing to the use of your photo in future Gustavus print and web publications.
- The 2009 Calendar comprised of the winners will be made available November 18 for sale in the International Office with a limited edition printing. To ensure you have a calendar, place orders to lshaw@gustavus.edu by November 11. Cost will be approximately $8–$10. Proceeds will go to study abroad scholarships.

If you are a winner in our photo contest, the International Education office will have your picture mounted and added to our collection of past winners. These photographs are then used to advertise and encourage study abroad on campus and in the surrounding community. All winners will be displayed starting November 16—International Education Week—in the upper level campus center hallway.
Photo Contest Timeline
- September 7 — Photo Contest Begins
- September 7 to October 5 — Online submissions accepted
- October 5 — Last day to submit your photo. Submissions close at 11:59 p.m.
- October 22 — Photo contest voting 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Linner Lounge
- November 16 — Winners displayed
- November 18 — Calendar available in the International Office for sale. Order your calendar now: call x7545 or e-mail your quantity to lshaw@gustavus.edu.
