My name is Paul Shneider and I am in my senior year here at Gustavus. I am a Spanish and International Management double major with a Latin American Studies minor. I am the President of the Gustavus chapter of Sigma Delta Pi for 2006-2007. I am on the football team and recently got back from a semester in Valparaiso, Chile. It was a great experience, especially because every high school in the country went on strike, and the university students joined them in protesting the government and the educational system. They were the biggest protests since the Allende years in Chile, and a very exciting time to be there. I am also a Spanish tutor, and help tutor Latino students at the St. Peter High School.

My name is Jo Ellison and I am a senior Spanish and psychology double major. I also will have a minor in Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Studies (LALACS). I am from St. Louis Park, MN. I work with the Amigos program through the Community Service Center on campus helping the Spanish-speaking population in the St. Peter community. I coordinate 3 of their programs: ELL tutoring, Intercambios, and conferences. I have not studied abroad, however I went on a J-term trip to the Caribbean. We went to Puerto Rico, Guadeloupe, St.Vincent, and Trinidad. I am also currently the treasurer for SDP.

Hello! My name is Jenna Miller and I am a Junior Nursing Major/Spanish minor here at Gustavus. I am from Fargo, ND and I work as a lifeguard at an outdoor pool in the summers when I am home. At Gustavus, I work in the Admission Office and give tours to the prospective students. Some of the groups I am involved with on campus include: Gustie Greeters, Gustavus Youth Outreach, Amigos-ELL Program, Gustavus Student Nursing Association, the Wellness Program, IM Tennis, and of course Sigma Delta Pi.

While all of these things keep me quite busy, there are some other things I like to do in my free time. I love being with people and my friends especially. I really enjoy music, movies, good television shows (The Bachelor, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy, and the OC). I like to sleep, although I do not get enough of it. I also really enjoy learning about nursing stuff, including all of the cool procedures I get to do. Learning more about the Hispanic culture is also something that interests me too!

Hello! My name is Kate Leibfried and I'm a junior here at Gustavus Adolphus College. I'm a Communication Studies major and I'm minoring in both Spanish and Latin American Studies. I'm from Grand Rapids, MN a beautiful little town in the northern part of the state. I live with my mom, dad, brother, two German Shepherds, and two horses. In my free time I enjoy writing, singing, being outside, and traveling. This Spring I will be studying in Quito, Ecuador and I'm really looking forward to it. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in Spanish to join Sigma Delta Pi. It has been an excellent experience and new members are always welcome!

Hello! My name is Trevor Brown and I am a Junior majoring in Political Science and minoring in History. Initially, I was also planning on a Spanish minor, but my class load didn't leave me with enough room to fit it in. I still continue with Spanish even though I'm not taking any more courses. I have spent a lot of time volunteering with ELL at the high school and I would recommend the program to anyone looking to practice their speaking and comprehension skills. I guess I'm the web guy for Sigma Delta Pi, so if something on this site is broken, it's probably my fault. When I'm not studying or in class, I play soccer and work at the Technology Helpline. In my free time, I like reading, watching movies, and being outside.

Hi everyone. My name is Quinn Thompson and I'm a Junior here at Gustavus. I call Decorah, Iowa home and I'm studying for my international management and Spanish majors. I spent this summer in Barcelona, Spain. Barcelona is an amazing city and I definitely hope to return some day. I am the current secretary of Sigma Delta Pi this semester but will not be on campus this spring. I am very excited for my opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Valparaiso, Chile. I would encourage anyone interested in Studying Spanish and getting involved with the community to join Sigma Delta Pi, you won't regret it. Take care.
