What we do

The purpose of the Peer Assistants is to be of service to Gustavus students. So...stop in to...

  • Take a study break
  • Try out the comfy couches
  • Hang out between classes
  • Check out some of the pamphlets and informa-tion on the racks
  • See what the “evening special” is
  • Find out about the next P.A. event
  • Talk about your goals
  • Just talk

The Peer Assistants also attempt to recognize and confront lifestyle issues facing our campus. We are always open to comments and suggestions. If there is an issue you would like to see addressed, please stop in.

Currently, the Peer Assistants focus on the following areas:

  • Relationships
  • Drugs and alcohol use/misuse
  • Sexuality
  • Sexual assault and harassment
  • Birth control and sexually transmitted diseases
  • Disordered eating
  • Gambling
  • Stress
  • Time management
  • Mental health
