November 14-20th
In collaboration with other organizations on campus, Habitat will participate in what has become a tradition at Gustavus.

Each year, one week before Thanksgiving, National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness co-sponsor National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. During this week, a number of schools, communities and cities take part in a nationwide effort to bring greater awareness to the problems of hunger and homelessness.

Spring Break
Gustavus had the 6th largest turnout for the 2004 Collegiate Challenge with 106 people turning out this year.

The Collegiate Challenge is a chance for studetns, during spring break, to go to a different city in the US and participate on a build.


April 6th
A staple in the history of Habitat for Humanity International but Speak! Act! Build! Week 2005 will be the first time the celebration will be held here at Gustavus.

The event involves speakers, food, letter and phone campaigns, and other activities raising awareness about Homelessness.


April 15th
Said to be the largest Battle of the Bands in Gustavus history. Prize Packages include Concert opportunities, Free radio time, gift certificates, and possibly studio time... Not to mention a slot at EARTH JAM. Also scheduled are free t-shirts, DJ's for in-between sets, appearances by State Representatives and Habitat for Humanity's donation of a house to Ghana.
