Upcoming Projects Annual Events Officers Donate Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the elimination of substandard housing around the world. Habitat works towards this goal by providing simple, decent, affordable housing through volunteer work, donations of money and materials. Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat has built more that 60,000 houses around the world, providing more than 300,000 people with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

The Gustavus Adolphus Campus Chapter focuses mainly on serving the Greater Saint Peter Area through the utilization of Gustavus Adolphus students, staff, Campus.

Gustavus' Chapter of Habitat is now rejuvenated with its two new Co-presidents, Nick Green and Betsy Anderson. The two plan on making the campus chapter more active than it has ever been in its more than a decade on campus.

Plans for the fall include heavy emphasis on recruitment, two building sites and a Build-a-thon in which the chapter will construct a shed on campus in less than a day and transport it to the site.

This summer they hope to match the involvement in the Collegiate Challenge competition (106 students traveling all over the nation to help in building efforts.) with our staff and faculty.
