“College 101” Teachers Talking focuses this year on understanding how various administrative areas of a college work together. We’ve invited the vice-presidents to talk with faculty about their respective areas, and explain what at times may seem mystifying: how do you recruit students to come to Gustavus? who actually manages the endowment? what are the coming trends in higher education and do we have to pay attention to them?
In order to allow as many as faculty as possible to attend these special Teachers Talking, we’ve scheduled them for two different times, a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday during lunch. First up is Dr. Mary E. Morton, Provost, on September 17 and 18, with a focus on higher education academic program trends, the role of provosts and others involved in academic leadership, and other topics related to academic affairs.
