Gustavus Adolphus College first-year Katie Schenfeld (Indianola, Iowa) has been named the MIAC Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week by the league coaches. Schenfeld shot an 81, which was the low round at LeSueur Country Club on Saturday, in a meet that included Gustavus, UW-Stevens Point and two individuals from Macalester. As a team, Gustavus defeated UW-Stevens Point 336-355. The Gusties are ranked second in the final Golf World/NGCA Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season behind Methodist.
