Gustavus Adolphus College

Werner Fornos, an internationally recognized authority on population issues and winner of the 2003 United Nations Population Award, is scheduled to give a lecture at Gustavus Adolphus College. The lecture is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 in Wallenberg Auditorium, located in the Nobel Hall of Science on the Gustavus campus.

Fornos, president of the Population Institute, will speak on a wide range of population issues, including global security and terrorism, environmental degradation, global climate change, hunger, poverty and illiteracy, voluntary family planning, women’s empowerment, and socio-economic underdevelopment.

A question and answer session will follow the lecture, and materials concerning population issues will also be available.
