Celebration of Creative Inquiry

The Celebration of Creative Inquiry is a new, campus-wide forum to publicly share the creative inquiry of students from Gustavus Adolphus College. The Celebration will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Campus Center on Friday, May 2nd, and will feature student poster presentations (or other similar presentations as appropriate). "Creative inquiry" is an intentionally broad term that encompasses research and scholarship including, in the arts, exhibits or performances.

Reading in Common: Get your Copy! Book Giveaway

The first year reading in common book has been announced: John Pomfret's Chinese Lessons: Five Classmates and the Story of the New China. To enable all faculty members to participate in the campus conversation, we will be offering a free book for any faculty member who would like one. This will be a future Teachers Talking event. Please email your request to the Kendall Center's administrative assistant, Cathy Blaukat (cblaukat@gac.edu).

Submit your Faculty Travel Receipts and Requests

Please assist us in administering the faculty professional travel funds by submitting your receipts for completed travel at your earliest convenience. The end of the fiscal year is May 31st. And if you are planning a trip, please submit your application as early as possible. Forms and guidelines for travel funds are available online on the Kendall Center website. Thank you

Career Center Director, Jeff Stocco, led a great workshop aimed at sharing best practices when writing letters of recommendations. We quickly ran out of the very helpful, Writing Recommendation Letters: A Faculty Handbook. However, we have one copy on reserve in the Kendall Center for faculty to check out.
