"I am from a large family with seven kids, and being the first in my family to go to college, my parents were worried about paying for college tuition. With Gustavus scholarships, I was able to attend my first-choice school and my parents did not have to worry too much about my tuition. Scholarships also helped me reduce my anxiety about paying for college and helped me be able to focus more on my academics."
"When I came to Gustavus, I was a nervous young girl, unsure of my educational plans and future. Through the guidance of some of Gustavus' wonderful professors and staff members, this has changed. I learned more about myself and my career interests, and I gained the confidence and skills to pursue those interests. Today, I am a confident woman majoring in nursing and excited to be planning out my future in the healthcare field.
