"I am a financially independent student, so the scholarships that I have received from Gustavus have been critical in enabling me to be here. I am a Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarship winner and play viola in the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra. I also work in the Office of Fine Arts, where I manage and work the sound and light booth for various musical and theatre events. I am in the Servant Leadership Program, the Study Buddy community service program, rugby, and various intramural athletic programs."
"I can't imagine not being here. I like the extraordinary people best. I have met so many amazing and inspiring people here, both students and faculty, that I can't imagine not knowing. I have formed more lasting relationships than I ever thought I could. There is definitely a strong sense of community on campus that I love being a part of."
