Financial aid award notifications are sent electronically and can be viewed on WebAdvisor.
You will receive an e-mail from the Financial Aid Office when your initial award is complete and for each revision made during the year.
Financial aid award notifications should be sent within two weeks after your file is complete.
Note: If you do not receive your award at that time, we may be missing forms needed to complete your award. Please review and submit the missing documents on WebAdvisor prior to contacting the Financial Aid Office. Awards will be completed through the summer as required forms are received.
Students are able to access their financial aid award through WebAdvisor. Use the FA Award Letter form to view your award. The Cost Estimate Worksheet can be utilized along with your award to determine the cost of attending Gustavus during the 2009-2010 academic year.
Gustavus assumes passive confirmation which means we will originate your loans unless you reduce or decline them. If you wish to borrow less than the amount offered to you on your financial aid award or decline the award, please print the award notice and deliver to the Financial Aid Office or e-mail the Financial Aid Office at finaid@gustavus.edu with the award amount you would like to borrow for each term. The Financial Aid Office will adjust your award and send you a notification of this revision.
You may print the award letter directly from WebAdvisor.
You are able to e-mail the award letter by copying the award on WebAdvisor and pasting into an e-mail.
The Department of Education requires that you report all sources of financial assistance you are receiving to the Financial Aid Office.
If you are receiving any scholarships, grants, or educational loans that are not listed on the award letter, please contact the Financial Aid Office at finaid@gustavus.edu or 507.933.7527.
