A Royal Affair
Gustavus Library Associates proudly presented its 16th gala fundraiser to benefit Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.
A Royal Affair, a biennial event, is the primary fundraiser for the College library. Nearly 2.5 million dollars has been raised for library endowment through the past fifteen benefit events. Razzle Dazzle* A Royal Affair was held on Saturday, October 27, at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota, and was a highlight of the College year for many of the 1,000 guests from the Gustie family. The festive evening began with a silent auction where guests bid on more than 700 items. The evening featured gourmet dining, great conversation, a live auction, and splendid entertainment, this year featuring the talented and popular Steele family.

Gustavus Library Associates is a Friends of the College organization dedicated to the support and advancement of Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library. GLA has been instrumental in building the resources of the library for more that 30 years. Celebrations like A Royal Affair are an important contribution to a college that remains open to all promising students, regardless of their financial circumstances.
