Mission Statement

The mission of Administrative Information Systems at Gustavus Adolphus College is to envision, implement, and support the use of information management tools and interfaces throughout the entire College community. To this end, department staff are responsible for all aspects of the College's Administrative Information System, including software installation, training, security, and backups. Additional responsibilities include providing assistance to any College computer user with desktop databases questions, assisting in the development of web pages for administrative offices, and installing new and reallocated desktop hardware within administrative offices.

Administrative Information Systems staff are committed to forming and sustaining positive working partnerships with Gustavus faculty, staff, and students to identify new and evolving information needs. Furthermore, they are dedicated to staying abreast of advances in information technology in order to propose new information management solutions that will ultimately contribute to the College's leadership among peer institutions. The Administrative Information Systems department is located on the lower level of Carlson Administration Building and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding College holidays.
