Amigos works with the Latino community in St. Peter to identify and meet language, cultural, and other needs. Amigos provides after-school programs for ELL students in grades K-12, tutors for students in the middle and high schools, translation services for teachers, and Intercambios, which offers English classes to adults.
The role of the Amigos program is to understand and support the St. Peter Latino community by giving them a voice and by helping them maintain their cultural identity, as they assilimate to life in the United States.
