Retreats

We're pleased to welcome our Association ministry partners to campus for overnight and day retreats. We have programs for teenagers, adults, and older adults. Information on each option is listed below.

Adult Retreats: GACAC Retreat Center
The Association of Congregations Retreat Center has comfortable space for group discussions and meetings, a small kitchen for light refreshments, and a conference room equipped with overhead, easel, and TV/VCR. The Center has seven bedrooms and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Linens and towels are provided, and meals are available through the dining service. First priority for this facility is given to adult retreat groups. The Retreat Center is available year-round. The following rates apply.

· Group Overnight Retreats: $15/person per night.
· Group Day Retreats: Free for Association Congregations.
· Individual Clergy Sabbath: Free.

Note: A $75 deposit is required to reserve the Retreat Center. This amount will be applied to your final bill.

Confirmation Retreat Programs

Gustavus welcomes confirmation classes to hold one-day retreats on campus. On-campus meeting space, use of the athletic facilities, and programming through Gustavus Youth Outreach are usually available for reservations made 6-8 weeks in advance. There s no charge for overnight accommodations, but meals in the cafeteria are the group’s responsibility. Meal tickets are available upon request with billing sent after the retreat. Confirmation Retreats are available only during the school year.

Wednesdays at Gustavus for Older Adults

The Wednesday’s at Gustavus program is intended to allow groups of retired adults an opportunity to experience a day on our campus. Program highlights include several presentations by Gustavus faculty members, Daily Chapel (during the school year), interaction with current students, and Lunch. The cost per person is $13.00 and the programs last from approximately 9:00 AM – 2:00 P.M. The Wednesdays at Gustavus program is available year round.

Andy Bryan and Charlie Paukert Advance in Doubles, Bryan, Kauss Knocked Out In Singles

The Gustavus men's tennis doubles team of Andy Bryan and Charlie Paukert won its first round match at the NCAA Championship in Lewiston, Maine on Friday afternoon. Bryan and Paukert defeated David Ashlock and Dustin Phillips of Texas-Tyler 6-2, 6-3 and will now face the third seeded team of Filip Marinkovic and Andrew Thomson of Middlebury on Saturday afternoon in a quarterfinal match.

Women's Golf Finishes Sixth At NCAA Championships, Kosak Finishes Tied For Sixth Individually

The Gustavus women's golf team posted a solid final round score of 316 (+28) to finish sixth at the NCAA Championships out of 20 teams. The 72-hole tournament, was played at Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties made up 13 strokes to move up two places and finish one stroke ahead of St. Thomas. Junior Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.) wrapped up a very strong tournament with a final round score of 75 (+3).

Jenni White Falls In Singles, White And Sierra Krebsbach Fall In Doubles At NCAA Championships

Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis player Jenni White (Sr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) fell in the first round singles competition, while White and Sierra Krebsbach (So., North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View) also lost their first round doubles win at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships at Gustavus in St. Peter.
