Gustavus science students, including First Year Research Experience (FYRE) students, present the research they did over the summer (including both on-campus or off-campus research.)

Celebration of Creative Inquiry / Spring Science Research Symposium

As of Spring 2023, the Spring Science Research Symposium became a part of the Celebration of Creative Inquiry with both oral presentations and poster presentations. This symposium is held on the Friday before Honors Day each year - typically the first weekend of May or the last weekend of April. It is now hosted by Research and Sponsored Programs.

  • Swanson-Holcomb Undergraduate Research (SHUR) (formerly Sigma Xi)
    • Gustavus students who receive funding present their research at Gustavus the Celebration of Creativity Inquiry/Spring Research Symposium at which is held each year on the Friday prior to Honors Day.

Please note: Gustavus Science students have many opportunities to attend and present their research off-campus as well. Some of these opportunities include the National ACS Conference, Regional ACS Conferences, Midstates Consortium Research Symposium, PittCon. Students should feel free to ask their professors about these opportunities.
