Using the Internet Wisely
- As you know, the Internet is a huge resource for finding career information! Employer websites are one of the best places to do job search research. Many have a career or employment section on their website. It is a great way to learn about employers! Do not be afraid to use search engines like Google or ask.com to find employers and information about organizations.
- Caution: it is easy to spend a lot of time on the Internet finding career information and not actually becoming a candidate for jobs! If you are job searching, take care that you do not spend too much time surfing
A special note to International Students
The Association for International Practical Training provides useful information helpful as international students begin their job search.
The US Department of State provide a lit of foreign embassies in the US.
