The Gustavus Department of Theatre and Dance is excited to be partnering with the Twin Cities based theatre company Ten Thousand Things to bring their unique production of As You Like It by William Shakespeare to Gustavus for one night only. To escape death, our heroine, her best friend, and one of Shakespeare’s funniest fools flee to the forest. Released from the court’s conventions, they discover earnest shepherds and ironic aristocrats – along with joy and forgiveness. Soon, closed hearts open, love transforms, and community takes root.

Get to know yourself better through guided meditation! Meditation offers a simple yet powerful way to calm your mind, reduce anxiety, and improve focus. Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve practiced for years, tried it in the past, or are a beginner. Join us in the Bonnier Multifaith Center in Anderson Hall. Chairs and cushions are available. A colloquium talk titled Playing with Sets - Decoding Dissonance in Pamela Decker's Organ Music will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the recital beginning at 7:30 p.m.
