This 2nd Annual Retreat focuses on the mentoring of male Gustavus students toward masculinities that are different from the versions they typically encounter in the media. The sophomores who attend this retreat will have the opportunity to learn from upperclassmen on their experiences as Gustavus leaders, as well as from advisors on their experiences with male leadership and the image of a male. These sophomores will help to create an informed, motivated, and equipped body of male campus leaders. Through activities ranging from wood-working to cooking, we will explore all sides of what it really means to be a man.
