Dr. Donny George Youkhanna, former Director General of the National Museum in Baghdad, Iraq, will present a lecture, "Looting the Iraq Museums: Loss of Nation's Memory." Dr. George speaks from his first-hand efforts to safeguard the Baghdad museum and to lead international efforts in recovering looted art and artifacts. The lecture, free and open to the public, is supported by the Gustavus Lecture Series, the Edgar F. and Ethel Johnson Endowment for the Arts, and the Trunnell Endowment in Art History.
