Gustavus Adolphus senior cross country runners Sarah Bernhardson and Chris deLaubenfels have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross-Country All-Academic Teams. A total of 353 runners, 150 men and 203 women, from over 100 Division III institutions were selected for the teams.

MIAC Announces Fall 2007 Academic All-Conference
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recently announced its Fall 2007 Academic All-Conference honorees. The MIAC recognized 304 student-athletes who represented the conference's thirteen institutions. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for MIAC Academic All-Conference recognition.

Women's Cross Country Ends Season With 14th-Place Finish At NCAA Region Meet
The Gustavus women's cross country team ended its season with a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet held in Northfield, Minn. on Saturday. The Golden Gusties compiled 324 points to finish 17 points behind 13th-place Concordia (MN). Luther College won the meet with a score of 87.

Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at MIAC Championships; Edlund and Bernhardson Earn All-Conference Honors
In perfect weather conditions the Gustavus women's cross country team finished sixth out of 12 teams with 133 points at the MIAC Cross Country Championships Saturday in St. Paul. St. Thomas finished in first place with 74 points, two points ahead of second-place Carleton. Laura Edlund (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) improved on her 29th-place finish last year by placing sixth in a time of 22:57 to earn all-conference honors.

Women's Cross Country Will Race in MIAC Championships Saturday
The Gustavus women's cross country team will take part in the MIAC Championships this Saturday at 2:00 pm at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The Gustavus women's cross-country team looks to jump into the top three at the MIAC Championships after posting fourth place finishes for the past two years.
Senior Laura Edlund has emerged as this year's top runner replacing two-time MIAC champion and NCAA Central Region Runner of the Year Hailey Harren.
