Drew Hood, Chris deLaubenfels, Laura Edlund Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District Track/Cross Country Team

The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released its men's and women's Academic All-District Track and Field/Cross Country Teams sponsored by ESPN The Magazine and three Gustavus student athletes were honored including Drew Hood, Chris deLaubenfels, and Laura Edlund.

  • MIAC Announces Fall 2007 Academic All-Conference
    The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recently announced its Fall 2007 Academic All-Conference honorees. The MIAC recognized 304 student-athletes who represented the conference's thirteen institutions. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for MIAC Academic All-Conference recognition.
  • Senior Chris deLaubenfelsBernhardson And deLaubenfels Named To USTFCCCA Cross-Country All-Academic Teams
    Gustavus Adolphus senior cross country runners Sarah Bernhardson and Chris deLaubenfels have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross-Country All-Academic Teams. A total of 353 runners, 150 men and 203 women, from over 100 Division III institutions were selected for the teams.
  • Sarah Bernhardson finished in 24th-place for the second consecutive year at the NCAA Central Region Meet.Women's Cross Country Ends Season With 14th-Place Finish At NCAA Region Meet
    The Gustavus women's cross country team ended its season with a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet held in Northfield, Minn. on Saturday. The Golden Gusties compiled 324 points to finish 17 points behind 13th-place Concordia (MN). Luther College won the meet with a score of 87.
  • Laura Edlund finished sixth to earn all-conference honors.Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at MIAC Championships; Edlund and Bernhardson Earn All-Conference Honors
    In perfect weather conditions the Gustavus women's cross country team finished sixth out of 12 teams with 133 points at the MIAC Cross Country Championships Saturday in St. Paul. St. Thomas finished in first place with 74 points, two points ahead of second-place Carleton. Laura Edlund (Sr., Forest Lake, Minn.) improved on her 29th-place finish last year by placing sixth in a time of 22:57 to earn all-conference honors.
