Women's Tennis Opens NCAA Championship Finals Play on Tuesday Against Washington and Lee

The Gustavus women's tennis team will face Washington and Lee University in a NCAA Division III Team Championship quarterfinal match at 2 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday afternoon. Gustavus Adolphus College will be serving as the host of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. The Gusties enter the match with a record of 24-8, while Washington and Lee enters with a mark of 26-0.

• Women's Tennis Defeats Wheaton 5-2, Earns 12th Consecutive Trip To NCAA Quarterfinals
  The Golden Gusties from Gustavus Adolphus earned their 12th consecutive trip to the NCAA Team Quarterfinal Round after defeating Wheaton College 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties, who are now 24-8 overall, will compete at the NCAA Team Championships on May 13-15 in St. Peter, as Gustavus is the host institution for the national tournament this year. Wheaton finished its season at 22-4.
• Women's Tennis Defeats UW-Whitewater, Advances To Face Wheaton In Third Round
  The Gustavus women's tennis defeated UW-Whitewater 6-0 in the second round of the NCAA Regional Tournament on Friday afternoon in St. Peter. The host Gusties will face Wheaton on Saturday at 12 p.m. in St. Peter with the winner advancing to the NCAA Team Championships on May 13-15 at Gustavus. Gustavus improved to 23-8 overall, while UW-Whitewater finished its season at 21-9.
• Jenni White Selected To Compete In NCAA Individual Championships, White and Sierra Krebsbach Chosen For Doubles
  The NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee has selected Jenni White (Sr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa) as one of 32 single players to participate in the NCAA Women's Tennis Individual Championship. White and doubles partner Sierra Krebsbach (So., North Oaks, Minn.) were also selected as one of 16 double teams to participate in the NCAA Women's Tennis Double Championship.
• Gustavus Set To Host Men's And Women's Tennis NCAA Regional Tournaments
  Gustavus Adolphus College set to host one of the eight NCAA Regional Tournaments for men's and women's tennis at the Brown Outdoor Tennis Complex in St. Peter. The women's tennis tournament will take place Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3, while the men's tennis tournament will be held Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4.
