Season Summary - The Gusties won their 13th consecutive MIAC title in convincing fashion defeating St. Mary’s 9-0, St. Olaf 9-0, and St. Catherine 7-2 in the championship match. Coach Jon Carlson’s squad went on to win NCAA Midwest Regional by defeating St. Catherine 8-1 in St. Peter, before losing to Washington and Lee 5-3 at NCAA Team Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. The team finished the season with an overall record of 28-8. Houlihan and Hom qualified for the NCAA singles tournament with Houlihan falling in the second round and Hom losing in the first round. Houlihan and Lyndsey Palen and Hom and Kara Smiley qualified for the NCAA doubles tournament. Both teams won first and second round matches before falling in the quarterfinals. All four earned All-America honors as a result finishing in the top eight at the NCAA Championships. The Gusties finished the year ranked fifth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III poll.
