Gustavus Adolphus, ranked fifth in the country, traveled to Claremont, California to battle ninth ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College on Saturday, March 8. The Gusties were defeated by the Athenas 6-3. Gustavus recorded wins at number three and number six singles as well as number three doubles. Lyndsey Palen won number three singles 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 in a back and forth match with Lauren Drew. Tara Houlihan was victrious at number six singles play 6-0, 6-2 over Nellie Hauff. Houlihan teamed up with Marla Menne to win number three doubles 8-1. Gustavus falls to 6-2 with the loss while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps improved to 5-5.
