Gustavus Adolphus College women's tennis player Jenni White (Sr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) fell in the first round singles competition, while White and Sierra Krebsbach (So., North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View) also lost their first round doubles win at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships at Gustavus in St. Peter.

    The 16th-ranked Gustavus women's tennis team saw its season come to an end with a hard-fought 5-3 loss to defending national champion Washington and Lee in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships in St. Peter. Head coach Heidi Carlson and the Golden Gusties, who lost to Washington and Lee 9-0 earlier in the season, stayed with the top-ranked Generals throughout a match that was nearly five hours long. Gustavus finished its season at 24-9 overall.

    The Gustavus women's tennis team will face Washington and Lee University in a NCAA Division III Team Championship quarterfinal match at 2 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday afternoon. Gustavus Adolphus College will be serving as the host of the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. The Gusties enter the match with a record of 24-8, while Washington and Lee enters with a mark of 26-0.

    The Golden Gusties from Gustavus Adolphus earned their 12th consecutive trip to the NCAA Team Quarterfinal Round after defeating Wheaton College 5-2 on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties, who are now 24-8 overall, will compete at the NCAA Team Championships on May 13-15 in St. Peter, as Gustavus is the host institution for the national tournament this year. Wheaton finished its season at 22-4.
  • Sierra Krebsbach Women's Tennis Defeats UW-Whitewater, Advances To Face Wheaton In Third Round
    The Gustavus women's tennis defeated UW-Whitewater 6-0 in the second round of the NCAA Regional Tournament on Friday afternoon in St. Peter. The host Gusties will face Wheaton on Saturday at 12 p.m. in St. Peter with the winner advancing to the NCAA Team Championships on May 13-15 at Gustavus. Gustavus improved to 23-8 overall, while UW-Whitewater finished its season at 21-9.
