Gustavus competed at the CCSA Regional Championships at Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota on Saturday, February 22 to close out the season. Gustavus placed fifth in the 5K freestyle race with 42 points and fourth in the 10K classical race with 48 points. The Gusties finished with 90 overall points, good enough for a fifth place finish. Both races were held on Saturday due to expected cold temperatures on Sunday.
Britta Carlson (SR, Jericho, VT) was the top Gustie finisher in the freestyle race. She finished 22nd overall with a time of 17:19. Melissa Kittock (FY, Buffalo, MN) finished 20th overall in the classical race with a time of 34:41 to lead Gustavus.
Northern Michigan claimed the team crown with 166 points. Alaska-Fairbanks finished second with 160 points. Gustavus was the top MIAC finisher with 90 points.
