Women's Soccer Coach

 
 

Mike Stehlik


Mike Stehlik is entering his 18th year as the Gustavus women's soccer coach. Stehlik's coaching record through 17 years is an impressive 190-88-23 overall and 111-48-13 in the MIAC. He has the most coaching victories in the history of the program. Stehlik was named MIAC Coach of the Year in 1993.

Stehlik's clubs have finished in the top four in the conference standings 11 out of 17 years. The Gusties have won four conference titles under his leadership.

A four-year letterwinner in soccer at DePauw University, Stehlik earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology. He then went on to earn a master's degree in physical education at Springfield College. Stehlik was an assistant soccer coach at DePauw from 1986-89 before coming to Gustavus.

Along with his duties as head coach of the women's soccer team, Stehlik is the coordinator of athletic fundraising at Gustavus.
