Fall Summary – The Gusties completed a successful fall season by winning two tournament and finishing third at the MIAC Championships. The team won its own Small College Invitational in early September and then took top honors again at the College City Invitational hosted by Carleton and St. Olaf in late September. The squad was hoping to claim the program’s first ever MIAC title in early October, but a tough first day resulted in the team finishing in third place. The Gusties wrapped up the fall season with an eighth place finish out of 20 teams at the Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational in Temple, Texas. Three players earned all-conference honors including sophomore Kelli Groff, and juniors Katie Aplin and Kelsey Getz.
Spring Summary - Coach Scott Moe’s squad wrapped up a successful spring season with a sixth place finish at the NCAA Championships, which were held in Lawsonia, Wisconsin. This is the second consecutive appearance for the Gusties at the NCAA National Tournament. Members of the NCAA Tournament squad included Erin Schliep (17th), Kelli Groff (21st), Kelsey Getz (42nd), Katie Aplin (43rd) and Alana Reetz (48th). Alana Reetz earned All-State honors during the spring season by finishing fourth at the Minnesota Women’s Collegiate Tournament held at Pebble Creek Golf Cours in Becker, Minn. in late April.
