Women's Golf 1998-1999 Season
Recap - 1998 Fall Season
After breaking into the national polls for the first time in school history last fall, Coach Mike Boschee and his squad maintained their lofty ranking by finishing ahead of several of the top teams in Division II and III this fall including Minnesota State Mankato, ranked #3 in Division II, Simpson, ranked #3 in Division III and Briar Cliff, ranked #5 in the NAIA.
Team highlights from the fall include a first place finish at the Buena Vista Invitational, a second place finish at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational and a third place finish at the MIAC Championships. Individually, first year standouts Alecia Golembeski and Kate Reiman earned all-conference honors by finishing fifth and sixth, respectively at the MIAC Championships.
The Gusties enter the spring season ranked fifth in the Division III Coaches Poll and have their sights set on the program’s first ever NCAA National Tournament bid.
