Season Summary – Coach Mickey Haller directed the Gusties to their third consecutive 20-win season (21-6) and a third place finish in the MIAC standings (18-4). The team advanced to the semifinals of the MIAC Playoffs before losing 55-52 to eventual champion Carleton. Four of the team’s six losses during the season were by four points or less. The team finished the season with a perfect 12-0 record at home including wins over MIAC co-champions St. Ben’s and Carleton. The Gusties were rated in Top Twenty nationally for all but two weeks during the season. Post-season awards included senior Angie Peterson earning All-Conference and All-America honors, junior Kristin Kachelmyer being named Sixth Player of the Year in the MIAC, and Peterson and senior Kate Sandvig being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team.
