Kali Griggs Named MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore Kali Griggs (Burnsville, Minn./Visitation) has been named the MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week by the league coaches. Griggs finished first with a 36-hole total of 76-73--149 at the Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association Invitational (MWCGA) at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota. Gustavus, ranked third in the nation, topped second place St. Thomas by 41 strokes and scored an 18-hole total of 297 on Sunday which set a new school record.

Women's Golf Wins MWCGA Invitational In Convincing Fashion
The Gustavus women's golf team made a strong statement to the NCAA Championship selection committee with a 41-stroke win over second place St. Thomas at the Minnesota Women's Collegiate Golf Association Invitational (MWCGA). The tournament was played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota. The Gusties were led by Kali Griggs (So., Burnsville, Minn.) who finished first with a 36-hole total of 76-73--149.

Women's Golf In First Place After First Day Of Minnesota Championships
The Gustavus women's golf team shot a first day team total of 308 at the Minnesota Championships at the par-72 Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, Minn. on Saturday. The third-ranked Gusties finished 17 strokes ahead of second-ranked St. Thomas, which finished with a team total of 325. Katie Schenfeld (Fy., Indianola, Iowa) paced Gustavus with a score of 74 to tie for the individual lead heading into the last day of play on Sunday.

Women's Golf Finishes Second At Carleton Invitational
After completing one round of the Carleton Invitational at the par-70 Stonebrooke Golf Club, the Gustavus women's golf team finished in second-place with a team score of 342. St. Thomas won the event with a team score of 327. Kimbra Kosak (Jr., Grand Rapids, Minn.) led Gustavus with a score of 84, as she tied for fifth-place individually.

Women's Golf Delayed To Sunday At Carleton Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team and the rest of the field will not begin the Carleton Invitational on Saturday at Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee due to weather conditions. The invitational is still scheduled to take place on Sunday, as team results will consist of one-day totals. Watch the Gustavus website for further schedule changes.

Rachel Roberg Named MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College senior Rachel Roberg (Rice Lake, Wis.) has been named the MIAC Women's Golf Athlete of the Week by the league coaches. Roberg shot 80-80 to finish in fourth place at the Wartburg Invitational at Centennial Golf Course, site of the 2008 NCAA Women's Golf Championships, in Waverly, Iowa on Sunday.

Women's Golf Wins Wartburg Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team kicked off its spring schedule with a first-place finish at the Wartburg Invitational at Centennial Golf Course, site of the 2008 NCAA Women's Golf Championships, in Waverly, Iowa on Sunday. The Gusties shot 319 on the second day of competition for a two-day total of 329-319--648, which was 18 strokes ahead of second-place finisher Illinois Wesleyan. Gustavus was led by Rachel Roberg, who finished fourth with a total of 80-80--160.

Women's Golf Leads Field After First Day Of The Wartburg Invitational
The Gustavus women's golf team shot 329 to lead the field of eleven teams after the first day of the Wartburg Invitational at the par-72 Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa on Saturday. Wisconsin-Eau Claire finished the day at 335, six strokes behind the Gusties, while Illinois Wesleyan shot 337. Rachel Roberg, who is tied for second place individually, paced Gustavus with a score of 80.
