  • Jess Vadnais scored 1,778 points in her four-year career at Gustavus.Jess Vadnais Receives Honorable Mention Honors on WBCA/State Farm All-America Team
    The Women's Basketball Coaches Association and State Farm released its 2007-08 Division III All-America Team on Friday afternoon and Gustavus senior guard Jess Vadnais received honorable mention honors after being named a WBCA/Kodak All-American last year. Katelyn Whiton of Simpson College was the only All-America selection from the West Region.
  • Jess Vadnais Vadnais Named To D3hoops.com All-Region Team
    D3hoops.com released its 2007-08 All-Region team and senior guard Jess Vadnais (Hudson, Wis.) was named to the West Region First Team for the second consecutive season. Vadnais was a key member of a Gustavus team that posted an 18-10 record and participated in the NCAA Tournament.
  • Jess Vadnais Jess Vadnais Named A Finalist for WBCA/State Farm All-America Women's Basketball Team
    The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), has announced the finalists for the 2008 WBCA/State Farm All-America Basketball Team for Division III of the NCAA. The 40 finalists, which includes Gustavus standout Jess Vadnais, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member Kodak/WBCA All-America Team. The teams are selected by WBCA member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions.

    The Gustavus women's basketball team came up short in a 73-64 loss to ninth-ranked Simpson College despite composing a valiant second-half rally in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday night in Indianola, Iowa. After facing a 17-point halftime deficit, the Golden Gusties fought back to within two points with 8:17 left after Bri Radtke hit a three-point shot from the left corner, but were unable complete the comeback.
  • Gustavus and Simpson will tip-off at 7 p.m. on Friday night.Women's Basketball Faces Simpson In First Round Of NCAA Tournament, Game Broadcast Available On Internet
    The Gustavus women's basketball team will face Simpson College in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament on Friday, Mar. 7 at 7:00 pm at Cowles Fieldhouse in Indianola, Iowa. Gustavus will audiostream the match through the Gustavus Athletics Broadcast page. Matt Thomas and Adele Burk will handle the play-by-play.

    Gustavus Adolphus women's basketball player Jess Vadnais (Sr., Hudson, Wis.) has been named All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by a vote of the league's coaches with Vadnais also being named to the All-MIAC Defensive Team. Bri Radtke (So., Winsted, Minn./Lester Prairie) received honorable mention, while Molly Mathiowetz (Fy., Sleepy Eye, Minn./Sleepy Eye-St. Mary's) was named to the All-Rookie Team.
  • This is the fifth NCAA Tournament appearance for the Gustavus women's basketball program.Women's Basketball Receives At-Large Bid To NCAA Tournament, Will Face Simpson In First Round
    The Gustavus women's basketball team received word on Sunday night that it has received an invitation to participate in the 2007-08 NCAA Division III National Tournament. Coach Mickey Haller's squad, which has compiled a record of 18-9, received one of 21 at-large berths to the tournament. The Gusties will travel to Indianola, Iowa and play host Simpson College on Friday.
