Rachael Click and Julie Mahre Named Academic All-District Five By CoSIDA/ESPN
Gustavus Adolphus softball players Rachael Click (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) and Julie Mahre (Lino Lakes, Minn./White Bear Lake) have been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Five College Division Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Click was named to the Academic All-District First Team for the second consecutive season, and will now advance to the national ballot.

Julie Mahre And Rachael Click Named To NFCA All-Midwest Region Team
Gustavus Adolphus College softball players Julie Mahre (Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn./White Bear Lake) and Rachael Click (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Mayo) have been named to the All-Midwest Region Team as released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Mahre and Click were first-team selections.

Andrea Brown and Rachael Click Named To 2008 MIAC Softball All-Tournament Team
The 13-player Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) All-Tournament Team for the 2008 MIAC Softball Playoffs was announced on May 5, and included Andrea Brown and Rachael Click from Gustavus. The Gusties were eliminated playoff contention after suffering a 3-0 loss to Bethel and a 7-6 loss to Augsburg.

Softball Eliminated From MIAC Playoffs With Losses To Hamline And Augsburg
The Gustavus softball was eliminated from the MIAC Post-Season Tournament after suffering a 3-0 loss to Hamline and a 7-6 loss to Augsburg on Saturday afternoon in Arden Hills. Hamline and Gustavus each tallied five hits, but the Pipers received a home run from Sophie Davidson for the victory. The Gusties mounted a rally against Augsburg after trailing 6-0 after three innings, but left eight runners stranded during the game in the loss.

MIAC Softball Tournament Postponed Until Saturday
The MIAC Post-Season Softball Tournament slated to begin Friday at 3 p.m. has been moved to Saturday at 1 p.m. Second-seeded Gustavus will face third-seeded Hamline at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Bethel University Softball Field in Arden Hills. Due to the schedule change, an additional venue was added to accommodate the double-elimination tournament.
