    This week's Gustavus Sports Showcase features Drew Hood. Listen to Hood's interview on the Gustavus athletics podcast page. Hood took the MIAC Men's Indoor Track pole vault title and came in second in the heptathlon.
  • Men's Track and Field Places Seventh at MIAC Indoor Championships
    The Gustavus men's track and field team finished seventh at the MIAC Indoor Championships with a total of 43 points. The 4x200 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams, which included Matt Leeb, Tyler Geyen, Colby Citrowski, and Cole Carlson, recorded the highest finishes on the day for the Gusties. The 4x200 relay placed third in a time of 1:31.13, while the 4x400 relay placed fifth in a time of 3:25.19.
  • Drew Hood Wins Pole Vault, Finishes Second In Heptathlon To Lead Men's Track And Field Squad At The MIAC Championships
    Drew Hood had a big first day at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships as he won the pole vault at a height of 14 feet, 11 1/2 inches, and finished second in the heptathlon with a school record total of 4,659 points. The Gusties are currently in seventh place as a team with 29.5 points. The meet, which is being held at Saint John's University, concludes on Saturday afternoon.
  • Kaelene LundstrumKaelene Lundstrum Wins Pentathlon To Highlight Gusties First Day at MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships
    Kaelene Lundstrum, a sophomore from Bird Island, Minnesota won the Pentathlon at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships with a school and conference record total of 3,342 points on Thursday evening. The previous school record of 3,036 points was set in 1994 by Kristen Denato. The previous conference record was 3,317 points set by Ashley Dingles of Saint Mary's in 2005.
  • Men's Indoor Track and Field Squad Set To Compete at MIAC Championships This Weekend
    The Gustavus men's indoor track and field team is looking forward to the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships after spending the month of February participating in four meets in preparation for the conference meet. The meet begins on Thursday with the multi-event competition and runs through Saturday. The event is taking place at the Donald McNeely Spectrum on the campus of Saint John's University.
  • Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Teams Post 10 First Place Finishes at Carleton's Pre-MIAC Meet
    The Gustavus men's and women's indoor track and field teams set the pace at the Carleton Pre-MIAC meet with 10 first place finishes. Kaelene Lundstrum turned in the top performance of the night as she won the women's high jump with a leap of 5' 6" which set a new school record and a Carleton Fieldhouse record. Lundstrum's mark is the fourth best in Division III this season.
