MIAC Announces 2007-08 Winter And Spring Academic All-Conference
The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) recently announced its 2007-08 Winter and Spring Academic All-Conference honorees. The MIAC recognized 387 student-athletes who represented the conference's thirteen institutions. Student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for MIAC Academic All-Conference recognition.

Andy Bryan Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Gustavus Adolphus College student athlete Andy Bryan has been selected to receive postgraduate scholarships from the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Bryan, a tennis player, is among a group of 58 student athletes that compete in a spring sport in NCAA Divisions I, II, and III to receive a $7,500 postgraduate scholarship.

Former Gustie Eric Butorac Wins First Round Doubles Match At Wimbledon
Former Gustavus tennis standout Eric Butorac (Class of 2003) teamed with partner Ashley Fisher (Australia) to defeat Yves Allergo (Switzerland) and Sebastian Pietro (Argentina) 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(4), 7-5 in a first round match at The Championships at Wimbledon in London, England on Monday afternoon (Monday night in London).

Andy Bryan and Connor Ziegler Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America Team
Gustavus Adolphus College senior men's tennis player Andy Bryan and senior men's swimmer Connor Ziegler have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Men's At-Large Team as released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Bryan is a College Division First Team selection, while Ziegler is a Third Team selection.

Five Gusties Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams
Five Gustavus Adolphus College student athletes were recognized recently as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams. Andy Bryan (men's tennis), Margaret Dorer (women's hockey), Laura Edlund (women's Nordic skiing) and Connor Ziegler (men's swimming and diving) were named to the first team, while Kimbra Kosak (women's golf) was honored on the second team.
