  • Ryan Michaelis turned in a solid effort on the mound in game two.Mike DesLauriers led Gustavus at the plate in the doubleheader with three hits in seven at-bats.Baseball Team Continues to Struggle, Loses Two At Hamline
    The Gustavus baseball team dropped a key MIAC doubleheader to Hamline on Wednesday afternoon by the scores of 9-3 and 2-1. It has been a rough two weeks for the Gusties who have dropped six games in the last seven days. Sophomore Mike DesLauriers led Gustavus at the plate in the two games going 3-for-7 with two runs scored. The Gusties are now 18-15 overall and 10-7 in the MIAC.

    The Gustavus baseball team saw its chance to move back into first place disappear dropping two games to first place St. Thomas by the scores of 7-1 and 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter. The Gusties were not able to string any hits together over the two games, while the Tommies did manage to record key hits late in both games. The result was two critical wins for St. Thomas and a very disappointing afternoon for Gustavus. St. Thomas improves to 12-2 in league play, while the Gusties fall to 10-5.
  • Baseball Team Drops Doubleheader To St. Olaf, 1-8, 5-6
    The Gustavus baseball team was swept in MIAC play for the first time this season losing twice at St. Olaf by the scores of 1-8 and 5-6. It looked like the Gusties were going to gain a split in the doubleheader leading 5-3 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, however the Oles staged a dramatic rally scoring three times to hand Gustavus a bitter 6-5 defeat in the second game. The Gusties are now 18-11 overall and 10-3 in MIAC play.

    The Gustavus baseball team scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and beat Saint Mary's 10-5 in the first game of the MIAC doubleheader. In the second game, Gustavus was trailing 7-1 in the bottom of fourth inning when the game was suspended due to heavy rain. When and where the second game might be made up has not been determined at this time.
  • Baseball Team Splits With Macalester, Winning Streak Comes To A Halt at Nine Games
    The Gustavus baseball team saw its nine-game win streak come to an end at Macalester on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties won game one 10-5, but then dropped game two 5-3. Coach Mike Carroll's squad is now 17-9 overall and 9-1 in MIAC play.
  • Catcher Shea Roehrkasse tags a Carleton runner out at the plate.Baseball Sweeps Carleton, Extends Win Streak to Eight Games
    The Gustavus baseball team scored 37 runs on their way to a doubleheader sweep of Carleton on Wednesday afternoon by the scores of 13-4 and 24-1. The Gusties pounded out 35 hits in the two games. Shea Roehrkasse led the hit parade with six hits in 10 at-bats. Derek Eddie was the winning pitcher in game one and Kraig Olson was the winner on the mound in game two. Gustavus is now 16-8 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.
  • Adam BrenAdam Bren Named MIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week
    Gustavus sophomore Adam Bren has been named MIAC Pitcher of the Week for his complete game 2-hitter that allowed the Gusties to beat Concordia 3-1 and complete an important doubleheader sweep in Moorhead this past Sunday.
  • Nate Ruff slides safely back into first base.Baseball Team Sweeps Bethel, Extends Win Streak To Six Games
    The Gustavus baseball team extended its winning streak to six games with a doubleheader sweep over Bethel on Monday afternoon in St. Peter. In the first game, Gustavus jumped out to a 4-0 lead and held on for a 5-3 win, and in the second game, the Gusties built a 6-1 lead and then held on for a 6-5 victory. Pat Siering had a big day at the plate going 5-for-6 with 2 RBI, while David Wold limited the Royals to five hits in seven innings and picked up the win on the mound in game one.
  • Pitcher Adam Bren tossed a two-hitter to help the Gusties claim a 3-1 win in game two.Baseball Team Sweeps Concordia, Moves to 4-0 In MIAC Play
    The Gustavus baseball team moved to 4-0 in conference play with a doubleheader sweep against Concordia in Moorhead on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties scored five times in the fifth inning and twice in the seventh inning to win game one 9-8 and then used timely hitting and a great pitching performance from Adam Bren to claim game two 3-1.
  • Baseball Doubleheader Against Bethel Moved To Monday, Concordia Doubleheader Moved to Sunday
    The Gustavus baseball team's doubleheader with Bethel scheduled for Saturday, April 12, has been postponed and moved to Monday, April 14 at 2:30 pm at the Gustavus baseball field. The Gustavus doubleheader at Concordia, which was postponed yesterday (4/11) has been moved to Sunday, April 13 at 1:00 pm in Moorhead.
  • Baseball Team Plays For First Time In Two Weeks, Picks Up Important Sweep Over Saint John's
    The Gustavus baseball team, which has not been able to play since returning from Arizona on March 27, combined timely hitting with solid pitching to sweep Saint John's in Collegeville by the scores of 3-1 and 7-1. Dave Wold and Cody Sukalski recorded complete game pitching victories, while Shea Roehrkasse led the offense going 4-for-7 at the plate with a home run and 3 RBI. The Gusties are now 10-8 overall.
  • Baseball Doubleheader At Saint John's On Tuesday Postponed, Rescheduled For Wednesday
    The Gustavus baseball doubleheader at Saint John's scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 has been postponed until Wednesday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m. in Collegeville. The Gusties are still scheduled to play Concordia on Thursday in Moorhead at 1:00 pm.
  • Baseball Doubleheader At St. Olaf On Monday Postponed, No Reschedule Date At This Time
    The Gustavus baseball doubleheader scheduled to be played at St. Olaf on Monday at 2:30 pm has been postponed due to poor field conditions. No reschedule date has been set at this time. In addition, the Concordia doubleheader that had been moved to April 9, has now been moved to April 10.
  • Baseball Doubleheader At St. Olaf Postponed And Moved To Monday
    The Gustavus baseball doubleheader scheduled for Sunday at St. Olaf has been postponed due to rain and poor field conditions and moved to Monday, April 7 at 2:30 pm.
  • Baseball Doubleheader At St. Olaf Postponed, Rescheduled For Sunday
    The Gustavus baseball doubleheader at St. Olaf scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to poor field conditions and rescheduled for Sunday at 1 pm. The Gustavus at Concordia doubleheader that had been rescheduled for Sunday has been postponed but the time and date is unkown at this time.
  • Start Time Of Baseball Doubleheader With St. Olaf Moved To 2:30 PM
    The Gustavus baseball team is scheduled to play St. Olaf on Saturday, April 5 in Northfield. The original start time was 1:00 pm, but the new start time is 2:30 pm. Their will also be an announcement on the Gustavus website at 11:30 am on Saturday morning as to whether the St. Olaf field is playable. Please check back on Saturday morning to verify if the games will be played.
  • Baseball Doubleheader With Saint Mary's On Friday Postponed Indefinitely
    The Gustavus baseball team's doubleheader with Saint Mary's scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 2:30 pm has been postponed due to poor field conditions. No make up date has been set at this time. The team's next doubleheader is scheduled to be played at St. Olaf on Saturday at 1:00 pm followed by a doubleheader at Concordia on Sunday.
  • Baseball and Softball Games Scheduled For Thursday Have Been Moved to Friday
    The Gustavus baseball doubleheader vs. Saint Mary's at Gustavus, which had been moved to Thursday, April 3, has now been moved to Friday, April 4 at 2:30 pm. The Gustavus softball doubleheader vs. Carleton at Gustavus, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, has now been moved to Friday at 4:00 pm.
