Women's Cross Country Gets Set For Regular Season By Hosting Alumni Meet

The Gustavus women's cross country team hosted its annual Alumni Meet on Saturday morning in the Arboretum on the west side of campus. Thirty-one runners participated in the 5,000 meter race including 25 members of the Gustavus team and six alumni. Laura Edlund, who graduated this past May and was a 2007 All-Conference performer, finished first with a time of 18:41. Brooke Beskau was the top Gustavus runner as she placed third with a time of 19:35.
The Gusties will open their regular season at the Grinnell College Invitational on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 am.
