Gustavus Adolphus College men's golfers Jordan Hawkinson (Sr., Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes), and Mark Stuckey (Sr., St. Peter, Minn.) have been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as Division III Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for their play on the links as well as their work in the classroom. Hawkinson leads the team with a 75.1 scoring average, while Stuckey is third (76.3) during the 2007-08 season.

Hawkinson leads the team with a 75.1 scoring average in 20 rounds for the Gusties this season, posting a low round of 70 at the MIAC Championships where he finished third overall. Hawkinson's best finish came at the Augsburg Fall Invitational where he finished in a tie for second place.

Stuckey averaged 76.3 strokes per 18 holes in 20 rounds and finished in the top five of four tournaments during the 2007-08 season. Stuckey posted a low round of 71 once at the Frank Wigglesworth Blugold Classic and twice at the Bobby Krig Invitational.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically and competed in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his teams competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championship, have a stroke average under 79.0 in Division III and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Hawkinson, a secondary education and math major, is the son of John Hawkinson and Kathryn Hawkinson, both of Lindstrom, and a 2004 graduate of Chisago Lakes High School. Stuckey, a health fitness major, is the son of Randall and Beth Stuckey of St. Peter and a 2004 graduate of St. Peter High School.
